The loft space in one of Pioneer’s Square’s historic buildings had exactly the kind of raw beauty that 53 was looking for in a space for their new Seattle headquarter. The graphic application software and tools designers that make up the 53 collective wanted the new space to reflect their aesthetic sensibility.
Working closely with their core team, Chris Serra and I came up with a scheme that kept the rustic beauty of the old brick walls and the rough hewn wood structure while integrating simple, modern and sophisticated elements to contrast it. The 4800 sf loft was divided into an open-plan office and development space with 2 closed off conference rooms, 2 stand alone workrooms with audio visual capabilities, group design review areas, kitchen/dining and shop space.
